JOHNSON MISSING

Left-handed pitcher Randy Johnson will be facing the Rockies - at the minor league level - on Saturday. Johnson, on the disabled list in his recovery from offseason back surgery, is scheduled to pitch for Tucson, Arizona's Triple-A affiliate, against Colorado Springs. It is expected to be his final tuneup before joining the active roster. He is tentatively scheduled to start Thursday in San Diego.

HE SAID IT

"If his druthers is to be traded, he better pitch well. The only value he has is if he is pitching well."

Clint Hurdle, Rockies manager, on right-hander Byung-Hyun Kim, who isn't happy with his bullpen role.
