Koyie Hill's first home run of the season enabled host Iowa to top Round Rock, 3-2, on Sunday.
Hill led off the bottom of the sixth inning with his blast to right field to put the Cubs (6-4) ahead for good.

Winning pitcher J.R. Mathes (1-1) hurled six innings, yielding two earned runs on five hits while striking out three and walking one. Rocky Cherry notched his first save of the year, pitching two-thirds of an inning and getting Jesse Garcia to ground into a double play to end the game.

The Express (6-5) jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first on Brooks Conrad's RBI double, and added another run in the third when Hunter Pence's double-play ball plated Josh Anderson.

Iowa rallied for two runs in the bottom of the third on Felix Pie's RBI single and Micah Hoffpauir's run-scoring groundout.

Chance Douglass (0-1) pitched six innings, allowing three earned runs on six hits while striking out two and walking three in the loss.--Alan Friedman/MLB.com
