Webb's efficiency nets win No. 16
SAN FRANCISCO -- The D-backs scored four runs in the sixth inning en route to a 9-4 win over the Giants on Wednesday night at AT&T Park.
The win was the seventh in the last eight for the first-place D-backs.
Arizona starter Brandon Webb (16-10) picked up the win as he allowed all four of the runs over seven innings. The 16 wins match his career high that he set last year in capturing the National League Cy Young Award with a 16-8 mark.
The D-backs built a 2-0 lead behind back-to-back homers from Mark Reynolds and Chris Snyder in the second.
The Giants made things interesting as they cut the Arizona lead to 3-2 with a pair of runs in the fourth, but the D-backs were able to score four in the sixth thanks to a two-run double by Justin Upton and a two-run single by Conor Jackson
