Catcher Jose Molina has agreed to a one-year contract with the
Toronto Blue Jays for the $400,000 minimum.
Friday's agreement includes performance bonuses and a $1.2 million team option for 2011.
The 34-year-old spent the last two seasons with the
New York Yankees and hit .217 last year with four doubles, one homer and 11 RBIs. He has a .235 average in 10 major league seasons with 20 homers and 136 RBIs, also playing for the
Chicago Cubs (1999) and Angels (2001-2007).
Toronto placed right-hander Jesse Litch on the 60-day disabled list to open a spot on the 40-man roster.
